    Just enjoy it and think whatever it is that you wish to, personal arguments on comments are weird.

    i would like to point out that bacon is on record as saying that the effects on his paintings were ‘happy accidents’ and that he allowed himself to create without thinking of it.so in a sense his talent was not concious but in trusting the unconcious to work for him

    AGAMBLE=LIFE=DEATH

    I am a novice painter of “modest abilities”, happy accident comes to the extremely talented in my opinion. His ability to create confined paranoiac space on the canvas is remarkable..

    He looks quite a bit like Robert Blake’s character in the David Lynch film “Lost Highways.”

    I think Bacon is overrated. Not a very good painter at all, but a great promoter.

    That’s the chub of alcholism, sadly.

    Bacon drank like a fish. (I hate metaphors, but there you go…)

    he may not be the best painter ever, but his point of view is very inspiring, what makes a good artist really anyway? His words are most inspiring.

    a think a genius doesn´t need to be “very good”, art is not about tecnic, it´s about soul…

    Oh, i’m sure you are a milestone in art history. Please go back to your fancy decorations and spare me that bullshit, you make me sick.

  14. specstorm

    Bacon is freaking hilarious

  15. designsoul

    Whether he is blasted or not, he has HONESTY and great intelligence and this very combination makes his words inspiring and fresh.

    i mean how is he not a good painter? do you paint? its not realism, but it has its own values. parts of his work would be relatively difficult to reproduce unless you were into art
